Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Maasinta Ai — the website, the installable web app, and the mobile app — provided by Supa Maasai Foundation.

By creating an account or using Maasinta, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may only use Maasinta with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

• Give accurate information about yourself and where you belong in the community.
• Keep one personal account; do not impersonate another person or family.
• Keep your sign-in details private — you are responsible for activity on your account.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Maasinta records how the Maa community already names itself — tribes, regions, sub tribes, clans, sub-clans, and families. These records are kept with care but may be incomplete, and some names are samples while the network grows.

Guidance such as whether two members share an Olmishire is offered to support custom. It does not replace the knowledge of elders and family, and it is not legal advice. Administrators may correct, merge, or move records to keep the structure accurate.

Maasinta is a shared enkang'. When using it, you must not:

• Harass, threaten, shame, or bully other members.
• Post hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or illegal content.
• Share someone else's private information without their consent.
• Send spam, scams, or misleading links.
• Misrepresent clan, family, or community belonging to deceive others.
• Try to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its data.

You keep ownership of the messages, photos, stories, and other content you share. You give Supa Maasai Foundation permission to store, display, and deliver that content only as needed to run Maasinta for you and the members you share it with. You confirm that you have the right to share whatever you post.

The Maasinta name, logo, emblem, and the Supa Maasai Foundation marks, along with the app's design and software, belong to the Foundation. You may not copy or reuse them without written permission, except to share your own profile card or links from within the app.

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts members at risk. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why.

You may stop using Maasinta at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to saitotinjapit2@gmail.com.

Maasinta is provided free of charge and on an “as is” basis. We work to keep it available and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add, or remove features as the community's needs grow.

To the extent the law allows, Supa Maasai Foundation is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Maasinta, from content posted by other members, or from decisions made based on community records. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be excluded by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. We encourage resolving any disagreement first through conversation with the Foundation; otherwise, disputes fall under the courts of Kenya.

We may update these terms from time to time. When changes are significant, we will let members know in the app or by email. Continuing to use Maasinta after an update means you accept the revised terms.
